We went hunting for this box yesterday. Never been on that stretch
of the Trail before - were surprised by the Golden Gate Jr.! Lovely
quails, too :-)

I'm afraid someone's already made off with the last and critical
clue - it was only by accident that I (literally) stumbled upon the
buried treasure! We searched for another suitable replacement, but
couldn't find one nearby :-(

Shoot, I was worried about that. Thanks for the update, I'll get out there this weekend and find a replacement. Do you think the area is maintained by the parks dept? or just someone messing around? Oh well, atleast they didn't make off with the box.

oh! it was gone when we were there too but it still seemed to be
well hidden and contents intact. I thought we misinterpreted the
clue. Looked for a replacement as well but didn't see anything
